David Levine

David co-founded Creativ&Company in 2003 following a career as a senior-level account manager at agencies including Grey, FCB and McCann. Drawing on experience with brands   including AT&T, Samsung, Johnson&Johnson and Motorola, David leads all accounts at the agency with care, respect and responsibility.

David once spoke at a Motorola Channel Partner conference about go-to-market strategies where a Partner who came in late, enthusiastic about the insights he heard, asked which Motorola department David works in. "Thank you, but I'm not with Moto...I'm with their ad agency," went the proud reply.  It’s this level of depth and passion that David brings to every client. He’s right along side them, even putting himself in their shoes, and is as committed to their success as they are. He leads by doing.

A drummer on stage and in the studio, David also coaches both of his kids (Nicole and Josh) in soccer and is married to his wonderful wife Beth (who coaches him in practically everything else). And of course, the household centers around Colbie, their incredibly energetic border collie. David holds a BA in English from Columbia and a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on music professions from NYU.

Stuart Lowitt

Stu co-founded Creativ&Company in 2003 after a successful agency career at Ogilvy, Deutsch, as the in-house Creativ Director at Computer Associates and as the president of Spring Design, an award winning design firm.

As the agency’s Chief Creative, Stu has no problem getting right into the strategic mix—in fact, he’s just as creative thinking about how to help clients with a marketing plan as he is with a sketch book (there’s something to be said for creative thinkers who can literally start with a blank page and a full head of ideas). He makes sure that the agency’s work is designed for business. That’s probably why he’s won numerous design awards, as well as Effies, for clients including Jaguar, American Tourister, Comedy Central, Food Network, CA Technologies and Snapple.

An avid photographer, traveler and cook, Stu has a soft spot for 80’s pop, Louis C.K., craft beer and a properly-made old-fashioned. Stu graduated University of Hartford, Hartford Art School with a BFA in graphic design.

Danae Sixsmith,
Operations Manager

There’s a myth at the agency that Danae is a prophet or an augur of sorts. She finishes your sentences, she knows who’s calling (without the caller ID) and she just has a way of making things happen exactly how and when they need to, which helps keep the agency on the right track. She can predict the kind of day we’ll have based on rain patterns or whether or not Dave had his coffee (ok, anyone can do that).

With a 20 year history in advertising project management, Danae is the best Operations Manager an agency could wish for. Danae oversees all of the moving parts in the agency to keep things running smoothly—from estimating and billing to project traffic to making sure all of our clients requests are met on time and the right way. You could say Danae is the backbone of the agency’s process—we do!

Jan Buchholz
Creative Director, Design

Jan is always on the lookout for the latest technology and cutting edge design. Not because he believes in innovation for its own sake. Instead, Jan believes that technology is a means to an end. It’s a tool that helps us to communicate messages more effectively. As such, we owe it to our clients to provide them with the best tools for the job.

While still studying in Dortmund, Germany and Exeter, England, he worked with @radicalmedia in New York and BBDO’s highly selective “ad talent” program. After school, he worked at BBDO in Germany and New York, before stepping out of the big agency world to concentrate on more innovative approaches to advertising. Jan’s past client work includes include BP, Pizza Hut, Warsteiner Beer and Wrigley’s.

Dave Alpert
Creative Director, Copy

Dave has two decades’ experience in general and direct response copywriting, concepting and creative direction. He has worked across all media – including broadcast, print, digital and mail - and in nearly a dozen key sectors including financial services, telecommunications, consumer and business technology, health care and insurance. In addition, his experience spans the marketing continuum from product launches, to corporate rebranding.

Kathy Palazzo
Art Director

In 2011, Kathy completed a demanding program at the Rhode Island School of Design and received a certificate in Graphic Design. This is where she gained her knowledge in the visual language of graphic design, specializing in typography, layout, and various structures. Kathy is always looking to expand on these skills and to keep up with the current technologies and trends to better accommodate the client with innovative designs. She currently enjoys bringing her illustration talents together with her graphic design knowledge to create engaging work.

Mike McHale,
Media Director

Mike’s award-winning experience is as impressive as it is comprehensive. It includes a 6-year stint at a top five media agency, Optimedia in New York (1999-2005), where he ran the BMW account, along with British Airways, International Securities Exchange and RCA accounts in the U.S., before joining Creativ&Company in 2005, where his interests shifted to building a new kind of agency with us.

Mike’s planning and negotiating insights have helped a broad portfolio of clients including: Motorola, Forbes, Tavistock Group, Puerto Rico Tourism, Rums of Puerto Rico, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, Conde Nast, Hearst, Crain’s Communications, Time Inc. and Dow Jones.

Justin Hansen,
Web Programming

Justin has been in the web and mobile development field for over a decade and has been referred to as a "Technological Swiss Army Knife". He started his career at a company called ScanBuy in 2003 where he worked on some of the first mobile barcode scanning applications. From there he has done work for Fortune 500 companies such as Diageo Brand Alcohols working on products like Captain Morgan and Smirnoff. In addition to his passion for programming he is an avid golfer and lover of reptiles.
